10 ways in which high fashion meets Indian Streets

The uniqueness of India lies in her streets and when the uniqueness of fashion meets the streets; there is a laughter riot. Hear out what a nervous breakdown it is for fashionistas.  (Mind you! You need to read this with your sense of humor intact!) 

 

1.   She arrived in her precious Jimmy Choos; and at that very instant all the Jimmys (bovine creatures) languishing on the road gave out ‘Moos’ 

2.   She had draped herself with the sweet smells of Elizabeth Arden and suddenly she was surrounded by street kids asking her “Where is the garden?”

3.  Tying the Hermes scarf was her style statement; little did she realize that there were dozens sporting the same copies made in the basement. 

4.   Wanting to turn heads, she wore her Ferragamo – until she realized the horrors of potholes that required the strength of Gama to maneuver 

5.   She had accidentally broken her Chanel perfume bottle…rushed to the nearby store and fainted. Do you know why? They thought she wanted a channel and gave her the number of Tata Sky!

6.   Unable to fathom the lanes and by lanes; she asked for the store of Yves Saint Laurent . Upon heeding the directions she reached the doorstep of the convent.

7.   She swore by her Gucci glares, however they were a clumsy pair, especially when she had to cross the street amidst the honking blares.

8.   Her Fendi baguette was the top most accessory but with so much crammed space everywhere, ending her love for them was necessary. 

9.   On being asked what his favourite brand was, he said “Hugo Boss”. They didn’t understand why he felt offended and said “You Go Boss”

10.   His clothes were perfectly tailor made by Gieves & Hawkes, but still they kept away from him thinking they were borrowed from thieves & hawkers.
